As Earth slept

her gruesome pet

curled-up on my chest

heavy and white


UNWELCOME VISITOR


a leech to suck the life

out of this fish.


The water level is growing

shallow in your bowl


I think I deserted you.


In a mirage 

There was a great castle on a mountain.

A cunning river, snaking along,

cutting clean through


I think I deserted you.

My hourglass heart full of sand.
